We enjoyed reading this story with our 15 year old son and 13 year old daughter. Great story set in World war 2 Sicily . Some great characters. There is a little bit of scary / slightly violent content.

An orphan has been adopted and finds himself looking for his future. Heart warming, action of the resistance, fighting to survive and save others. Allowance for turning away from the gruesome pictures of war when appropriate.

Great read! I am adult, read in 12 hours or less.  Written on about a 5 th -6th grade level. Set in WW 2, Sicily. Exciting adventure with historical fiction. Has some scary/slightly violent content ( as would be expected since this is placed in war time. Highly recommended!
