This is an incredible book!!!  It's so beautiful that at first I thought it could be an art book.  :-)  There are all kinds of art activities with step by step instructions where needed and explanations of why things work the way they do.  This is one our family will keep and use for many years.  Great job again, Usborne!

This is a great book for homeschool families. Lots of fun learning to be had. I love the covered spiral with the hardbound covers that allow it to lie flat. I love that it can be fun for all my children (ages 3yo to 12yo) and ignite interest in my 12yo to go and learn more of the "why". Perfect addition to our home library.

Wow- I love this book!  I am a science teacher, and I really appreciate how engaging and beautiful this book is.  The experiments are appropriate for a wide age range and can be simplified for younger ones or delved into with more depth for middle school age.  I just recently got this for my 5 year old, but could also use it in my 7th grade classroom.  I love the spiral binding which makes it sooooo much easier to open up and read for experimenting :)  You will be surprised at how amazing this book is!  A great gift or family treasure :)

Anytime I ask my 4 year old what his favorite book is… he responds with this book.  As a 4 y/o he is a little young to do most of the activities on his own, so he does need help from an adult, he finds the activities and experiments so fun.  Each page spread has about 6 different activities relating to 1 topic.  It doesn’t just have you do the activity but most pages tell you the why behind it.  It really is so engaging and fun for kids of a wide age range. The book is super sturdy with a hard cover, spiral binding so it can lie flat, and the pages are a hard cardstock.  

I enjoy the variety of science activities within this book. There are quick observational type activities, as well as longer more elaborate activities that take some time to set up or watch over time. Some activities are perfect for doing inside or taking it outside when the weather is favorable. The bright pictures and accompanying instructions are easy to follow. I really appreciate the informational boxes at the end of the sets that further explain the science behind the activities.

So many great activities for young minds who love being creative and of course love science! The pages are high quality. The step by step instructions and illustrations are wonderful. Great book!

My family decided to use this book for homeschool and it works beautifully! We use it with our 3 year old, 7 year old and 9 year old thy all love doing all the products and most of the supply’s can be found at the dollar store so it’s a small amount to learn we love it!!!
